Just looked back at something I wrote during the riots. I really like the idea of people realising that what holds us back is imaginary and that we really do control our own behaviour. Even if it is just to steal. These people are still people who are able to own their behaviour and, if they think something is unjust, may not just follow the rules. That’s reassuring because if things do go really wrong somewhere down the line, we need rebels.
